Big Valley Inn
The Big Valley Inn was built in 1952. The hotel has been extensively renovated, making it one of the most comfortable places to stay in rural Alberta. The liquor store boasts a wide variety of spirits. The tavern is bright, with a beautiful view of the valley. It is nicely finished in oak and contains 2×6 tables to accommodate comfortable dining. It has 3 VLTs, a pool table and a jukebox. Available to rent for private functions, it seats approximately 100 people.
The restaurant is also finished in beautiful oak. It seats 36 people. The menu offers a good variety of food, including pizza, steak, ribs and pasta.

MCKENZIE CROSSING/RED DEER RIVER GORGE
Located 9km west of Big Valley on Secondary Highway 590, this is a favorite spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Its diverse terrain has been the locale for international orienteering meets and Big Valley’s covered wagon trek. $15 per night. Strictly first come first serve basis, on-site registration. No services available. Season opens May 20th ends September 30th (Weather Permitting).

5 camping spaces, no reservations. Dump station.
Serviced hookups (power, sewer, water) $30/night, non-serviced sites $15/night. Water fill station.
